This article deals with the record of 1. FC Kaiserslautern in the European Cup . The club's greatest successes were winning the Intertoto Cup in 1975, 1988 and 1989 and reaching the Champions League quarter-finals in 1999 and the UEFA Cup semi-finals in 1982 and 2001. In October 2003, 1. FC Kaiserslautern played against the Czech representative FK Teplice his last game so far in a European club competition.

1. FC Kaiserslautern played the most frequently against clubs from the Netherlands (16 games), followed by teams from Sweden , Switzerland and the Czech Republic (including those from the time of Czechoslovakia) with 14 games each.
