Arton Capital Passport Index
The Arton Capital Passport Index shows how many countries citizens of a country can enter without having to apply for a visa in advance . The specified number includes both completely visa-free entries and entries with a visa issued on arrival. The visa-free regime makes transnational movement of people much easier for the citizens of a state and can be an indicator of the quality of a country's diplomatic relations as well as of the trust that is placed in its residents abroad.
The United Arab Emirates had the most powerful passport in the world in early 2019. Germany took second place.
list
The source is the Passport Index (as of January 2019) of the Canadian consultancy Arton Capital .
The countries are sorted according to the total number of countries that grant free entry and, if there is a tie, according to the number of countries that grant completely visa-free entry, if this number is also the same, the countries are sorted in alphabetical order.
