The Frankfurt (Main) Galluswarte station is an S-Bahn station in the west of the city ​​center of Frankfurt am Main . It is located in the center of the Gallus district on the Galluswarte square, which gives it its name, and is one of the most important local transport hubs in the western inner city districts.

The tram stop is located directly below the S-Bahn station.

The station belongs to station category 4 and was opened on May 28, 1978. It consists of two platform tracks on the Homburg Railway , which are located on a 96 centimeter high central platform , and two through tracks of the Main-Weser Railway . A branch from the main freight station joins the line there, which has now been closed . At the southern end of the station, the Main-Weser-Bahn divides into the ramps to the main station , the connection to the Main-Neckar-Bahn and the connection to the Taunus-Eisenbahn .

The station is located high up on Günderrodestrasse and extends from Mainzer Landstrasse to Frankenallee . About escalators is the platform to achieve over the two streets.

Connection

The station is only of S-webs of the lines S3, S4, S5 and S6 operated. The intercity and regional trains run on the Main-Weser-Bahn. There are no platforms here.

Below the station, on Mainzer Landstrasse, you can change to tram lines 11, 14 and 21 as well as to bus line 52. By changing from the tram at Galluswarte, western Gallus and northern Griesheim are connected to the Frankfurt rapid transit network.
