The 1960 European Basketball Championship for women (officially: EuroBasket 1960 Women ) was the 7th edition of the continental competition. It took place in Bulgaria from June 3rd to 11th, 1960 and was organized by FIBA Europe . The games were played in Sofia .

Preliminary round

The top three in each group made it to the final round and fought for the medals. The remaining teams determined places 7 to 10 in the placement round.
