The 1958 European Basketball Championship for women (officially: EuroBasket 1958 Women ) was the 6th edition of the continental competition. It took place in Poland from May 9th to 18th, 1958 and was organized by FIBA Europe . The games were played in Łódź .
It was played in three groups. Due to the number of ten teams, there was one group of four and two groups of three. In the event of a tie, the direct comparison counts, followed by the basket difference, followed by the baskets achieved. The two best placed in each group made it to the final round and fought for the medals. The remaining teams determined places 7 to 10 in the placement round.
