The 1954 European Basketball Championship for women (officially: EuroBasket 1954 Women ) was the 4th edition of the continental competition. It took place from June 4th to 13th, 1954 in Yugoslavia and was organized by FIBA Europe . The games were played in Belgrade .

Preliminary round

It was played in three groups. Due to the number of ten teams, there was one group of four and two groups of three. In the event of a tie, the direct comparison counts, followed by the basket difference, followed by the baskets achieved. The two best placed in each group fought for the medals in the final round. The remaining teams came into the placement round for places 7 to 10.
