history
The place developed on the site of an older settlement called Nadasth , which was likely devastated during the Mongol storm. In 1258, a Leutschauer clerk named Goblinus and his brother received the land around today's village in an act of donation from Béla IV in return for an annual tribute payment. The resulting place was first mentioned in writing in 1335 as Sreyberfalva . In addition to the descendants of the scribe Goblinus , the landowners came from the Görgey and Horváth families , but the village was mainly owned by the Spiš chapter until the middle of the 19th century. In 1828 there were 29 houses and 207 inhabitants.
Until 1918 the place in Zips County belonged to the Kingdom of Hungary and then came to Czechoslovakia or now Slovakia.
