In 1346 half of the village came under the ownership of the Spiš Chapter, and in the 15th century the Polankay family from the neighboring village of Poľanovce acquired ownership. Until serfdom was abolished, various families were landlords, including the Horváth-Kiserich family . In 1828 there were 25 houses and 185 inhabitants.
