Casaglione ( Corsican Casaglionu ) is a French municipality on the west coast of Corsica with 398 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017).

geography

Casaglione is about 40 km north of Ajaccio on a mountain flank above the coastal road to Cargèse . The local school is located in the coastal town of Tiuccia, which is part of the municipality.

history

The Château de Capraja was built by Ugo Colonna and was the seat of the Counts of Cinarca, who ruled all of Corsica in the 13th century.
