Villanova ( Corsican Beddanova ) is a municipality on the French Mediterranean island of Corsica . It belongs to the Corse-du-Sud department , the Ajaccio arrondissement and the Ajaccio-5 canton . It is bordered by the Mediterranean Sea to the northwest, Alata to the north and east, and Ajaccio to the south and southwest .
