Serra-di-Ferro ( Corsican A Sarra di Farru , formerly A Sarra di u Farru ) is a municipality in the French department of Corse-du-Sud on the Mediterranean island of Corsica . It belongs to the canton of Taravo-Ornano in the Arrondissement of Ajaccio .

geography

Serra-di-Ferro is located in the Taravo Valley and borders the Mediterranean Sea in the south . The settlement area consists of the main town Porto-Pollo and the localities Tassinca, Stiliccione and Petra Rossa. The neighboring communities are Coti-Chiavari in the west, Pietrosella in the northwest, Cognocoli-Monticchi in the northeast, Sollacaro in the east and Olmeto in the southeast. The municipality marker is partially covered by maquis , Machja in Corsican . In the municipality is the difficult to find dolmen Tola di u Turmentu .
