Coggia ( Corsican Coghja ) is a French commune in Corsica , part of the Corse-du-Sud department , with 695 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017). Coggia belongs to the Arrondissement Ajaccio and is part of the canton Sevi-Sorru-Cinarca .
geography
Coggia is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Vico in the west and north, Arbori in the northeast and east, Ambiegna in the east and Casaglione in the south and southeast. Here the Liamone flows into the Gulf of Sagone , on the coast of which lies Coggia. The main village (Cruciate) is in the mountains; other places in the municipality are Sant Erasmu, Cerasa, Coggia Maio, Casanova, Vedolaccia, the holiday home areas on the Gulf of Sagone.
