Dag Inge Ulstein (born December 4, 1980 ) is a Norwegian politician of the Christian Democratic Kristelig Folkeparti (KrF). He has been his country's development minister since January 2019.

Life

Dag Inge Ulstein has bachelor's degrees in theology and in industrial and organizational psychology.

On June 26, 2013 Ulstein was elected to the city government of Bergen , den Byråd , where he was initially responsible for social affairs, housing and urban development. In June 2014 he resigned after disagreements with the coalition partners. For the local elections in 2015, he was the top candidate on his party list. In October 2015 he became part of the government again, now in the finance, innovation and property division. He resigned from this post in November 2018.

After the KrF joined the existing conservative coalition, he was appointed Development Minister in the Solberg government on January 22, 2019 . Before the internal party vote on joining the government, he had spoken out against cooperation with the bourgeois bloc and favored support for a left-wing government. At this time he also ruled out cooperating with the Fremskrittspartiet , which was involved in the Solberg government .

In addition to his political activities, Ulstein was also active as a singer.
