Ingvil Smines Tybring-Gjedde
Ingvil Smines Tybring-Gjedde (born July 8, 1965 in Oslo ) is a Norwegian politician of the Fremskrittspartiet (FrP). She was the minister for public security in her country from January 2019 to January 2020.
Political career
Tybring-Gjedde is a trained materials tester , she received her training in Denmark. She also holds a Masters Degree in Interaction and Leadership from BI Norwegian Business School in Stavanger . She then worked at BI Stavanger, Innovasjon Norge and the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, among others .
Tybring-Gjedde joined the FrP in 2006, before that she was not politically active. From December 2015 to January 2019 she was State Secretary in the Ministry of Oil and Energy . On January 22, 2019, she was appointed Minister of Public Security for the Solberg Government, a newly created office within the Justice Ministry. As such, she was also responsible for the polar regions. When the FrP left government , she resigned from this office on January 24, 2020. Your ministerial post was not refilled, but abolished after just under a year.
In April 2020 it was announced that she should return to the state-owned company Innovasjon Norge. It was criticized that a new position had been created for them.
Private
She is married to the politician and party colleague Christian Tybring-Gjedde . The two are often portrayed in the media as a kind of “power couple” of the FrP.
