The Delage Type D.8 RAM was a car model from the French brand Delage . There is also the notation Delage Type D8 RAM For similarly named models see Delage Type D.8 .

description

Delage developed the vehicle during 1931. It was reported on December 24, 1931. It stayed with prototypes . There was no marketing. It was not until much later that the vehicle with the number 35.139 was presented to the national registration authority. Approval was granted on March 2, 1935. The reasons are unclear. A source suspects that one of the vehicles was sold at the time, either to a private individual, a friend of Louis Delâge, or a believer. Delage was then in great financial difficulties and was liquidated the next month.

An eight-cylinder engine powered the vehicles. It had a 77 mm bore and 109 mm stroke . That resulted in a displacement of 4061 cm³ , 23  Cheval fiscal and 105  HP engine power. The engine came from the Delage D.8 . In 1931 there were also rumors of a twelve-cylinder engine .

The dimensions of the chassis are not recorded. A sketch made by Philippe Charbonneaux in 1973 shows a roadster .

RAM stood for Roues Avant Motrices . The front-wheel drive was unusual . It was the only Delage model that had the front wheels powered.
