Previous model Delage Type D.8

The Delage Type D.8.100 and the facelifted version Delage Type D.8.100 B were passenger car models from the French brand Delage . There is also the notation Delage Type D8.100 . The meaning of the 100 is unclear. For similarly named models see Delage Type D.8 .

description

The national registration authority tested the vehicle with the number 50.775 and granted approval on June 24, 1936. Delage offered the model from 1936 to 1938. The facelifted vehicle with the number 50.611 was registered on October 19, 1938. The predecessor was the Delage Type D.8 . There was no successor.

An eight-cylinder engine powered the vehicles. He had initially 80 mm bore and 107 mm stroke . This resulted in a displacement of 4303 cm³ , a classification of 25  Cheval fiscal and 105  hp . The second version had 84 mm bore, thus 4744 cm³ displacement, 27 CV and 110 hp. The motor data largely corresponds to the Delage Type D.8.120 .

The chassis had a track width of 1490 mm or 1500 mm and a wheelbase between 3400 and 3630 mm . Two and four-door sedans , Pullman sedans , coupé , convertible and Brougham are known bodies . The curb weight was between 1850 kg and 1950 kg.

Numbers of units and surviving vehicles

Peter Jacobs from the Delage Register of Great Britain compiled an overview of production figures and the number of vehicles that still exist in October 2006. His information on the construction times differ in some cases from the information given by the book authors. Numbers of the models after the takeover by Automobiles Delahaye are unknown. For this model, he gives the construction time from 1936 to 1939. 15 vehicles still exist.
