The Delage Type D.4 was a car model from the French brand Delage . There is also the notation Delage Type D4 .

On July 3, 1933, the vehicle with the number 38.004 received its type approval and approval from the national authority. Delage offered the model from 1933 to 1934. It was the model with the weakest engine and the shortest wheelbase that Delage had in its range after the First World War . It had neither a predecessor nor a successor. Production ended on April 4, 1934.
The vehicles were powered by a four-cylinder NC type engine . It had a 77 mm bore and 79.5 mm stroke . This resulted in a displacement of 1481 cm³ . The engine was rated 8 Cheval fiscal and made 40 hp .
The chassis had a track width of 1360 mm and a wheelbase of 2800 mm . Bodies are known as limousines , coupes , convertibles and, as a one-off, roadster . The curb weight was given as 1270 kg.
Numbers of units and surviving vehicles
Peter Jacobs from the Delage Register of Great Britain compiled an overview of production figures and the number of vehicles that still exist in October 2006. His information on the construction times differ in some cases from the information given by the book authors. For this model he confirms the construction period from 1933 to 1934. Of around 549 vehicles produced, 22 still exist.
