The Delage Type D was an early passenger car model from the French brand Delage . The manufacturer called it a voiturette .

description

The national registration authority examined the vehicle with the number 50 and granted the approval on June 7, 1906. Delage offered the model from 1906 to 1910.

A single-cylinder engine of De Dion-Bouton powered vehicles. It had a 90 mm bore and 110 mm stroke . That resulted in a displacement of 700 cm³ . The engine developed 6  hp . That corresponded more to the wishes of the customers than with the previous models.

The chassis had a track width of 1165 mm and a wheelbase of 2050 mm . Thus, it was longer than the Delage Type A and Type B . The chassis weighed 445 kg. The open body as a Phaeton offered space for two people.

The maximum speed was given as 48 km / h.

Numbers of units and surviving vehicles

Peter Jacobs from the Delage Register of Great Britain compiled an overview of production figures and the number of vehicles that still exist in October 2006. His information on the construction times differ in some cases from the information given by the book authors. Numbers of the models before the First World War are unknown. For this model he confirms the construction period from 1906 to 1910. There are still four vehicles.
