The Delage Type DI-12 was a passenger car model from the French brand Delage . It was based on the Delahaye 134 after Automobiles took over Delahaye Delage. The interpretation of the letter I as number 1 occurs but is incorrect.

description

The national registration authority tested the vehicle with the number 50.004 and granted its approval on October 5, 1935. In contrast, September 5th is mentioned elsewhere. Delage offered the model from 1935 to 1938. The predecessor was the Delage Type D.6.11 . The successor was the Delage Type DI-50 .

A four-cylinder engine powered the vehicles. It had an 80 mm bore and 107 mm stroke . This resulted in a displacement of 2151 cm³ and a tax classification of 12  Cheval fiscal . The engine developed 52  hp .

The chassis had a track width of 1380 mm at the front and 1460 mm at the rear . The wheelbase was 2950 mm. Superstructures were two and four-door sedans , Pullman sedans , touring cars and convertibles . Autobineau is named as the body manufacturer for sedans . The curb weight was between 1280 kg and 1350 kg.

At the Geneva Motor Show in spring 1936 an execution was as export or Exportation shown. It had the body of the Citroën Traction Avant . In October 1936 the price of 37,800 francs was well below the normal version, which cost 43,900 francs. In addition to the sedan, coupé , roadster and touring cars were at least planned. One source calls this model a promenade mix , which luckily was only offered for a short time.

Numbers of units and surviving vehicles

Peter Jacobs from the Delage Register of Great Britain compiled an overview of production figures and the number of vehicles that still exist in October 2006. His information on the construction times differ in some cases from the information given by the book authors. Numbers of the models after the takeover by Automobiles Delahaye are unknown. For this model he confirms the construction period from 1935 to 1938. 21 vehicles still exist.

auction

On June 16, 2018, Osenat auctioned a four-door Autobineau sedan from 1937 for 7800 euros .
