The Delage Type TR was an early passenger car model from the French brand Delage .
description
This model was not presented to the licensing authority. Nor does it appear in the public sales catalog. It was a mixture of the chassis of the Delage Type T and the motor from Delage Type R . However, the engine type is indicated as 4 GM 1 . Delage offered the model from 1911 to 1912. Predecessor was the Delage Type L .
A four-cylinder engine from Établissements Ballot powered the vehicles. It had a 65 mm bore and 110 mm stroke . This resulted in a displacement of 1460 cm³ . The classification according to Cheval fiscal was in the range 8 to 9 and the real engine power was 13 hp .
The chassis had a track width of 1160 mm and a wheelbase of 2250 mm . The only known body shape was an open two-seater in the transition from the Phaeton to the Torpedo .
Numbers of units and surviving vehicles
Peter Jacobs from the Delage Register of Great Britain compiled an overview of production figures and the number of vehicles that still exist in October 2006. His information on the construction times differ in some cases from the information given by the book authors. Numbers of the models before the First World War are unknown. For this model he confirms the construction period from 1911 to 1912. There are still five vehicles.
