First, the Type DR.70 received its approval from the national licensing authority on June 16, 1927. Type DR.65 followed six days later, and the vehicle with the number 24.360 was tested. Delage offered both models from July 1927 to November 1929. The predecessor was the Delage Type DI series . The successor was the Delage Type DS .
A six-cylinder engine powered the vehicles. The weaker version had 65 mm bore , 109 mm stroke , 2170 cm³ displacement , 12 Cheval fiscal and 38 HP engine power. In the other version, a 70 mm bore resulted in a displacement of 2517 cc, 14 CV and 45 hp. The bore was part of the type designation.
The chassis normally had a track width of 1320 mm and a wheelbase of 3220 mm . The Colonial version had a track width of 1340 mm. One source mentions 4500 mm vehicle length, 1650 mm vehicle width and 1500 kg empty weight .
Superstructures have been passed on as a sedan with four doors, touring cars with four doors, coupé , convertible , Brougham and Pullman sedan .
Numbers of units and surviving vehicles
Peter Jacobs from the Delage Register of Great Britain compiled an overview of production figures and the number of vehicles that still exist in October 2006.
