description
Charles Planchon and Albert Lory developed this model. It had the engine with the largest displacement of all Delage vehicles.
A V12 engine powered the vehicles. It had a 90 mm bore and 140 mm stroke . This resulted in a displacement of 10,688 cm³. The engine was rated 60 Cheval fiscal and developed 280 hp .
The chassis had a track width of 1420 mm at the front and 1380 mm at the rear . The wheelbase was 2800 mm. The curb weight was given as 1500 kg. The open body offered space for two people. The top speed was around 240 km / h. Besides René Thomas , Robert Benoist and Albert Divo drove this type.
On July 6, 1924, a land speed record was set on a country road near Arpajon . 230.55 km / h for the kilometer with a flying start and 230.63 km / h for a mile with a flying start were determined.
It was not until July 9, 1926 that the vehicle with chassis number 8392 and engine number 2 received homologation from the national registration authority.
The vehicle remained a one-off. It still exists today.
