The Delage Type D-180 was a passenger car model from the French brand Delage . There is also the notation Delage Type D 180 .
description
Delage was then part of Automobiles Delahaye . Before the Second World War it was decided that the Delage brand had the greater prestige , which is why the most powerful model should always be offered as Delage. The Delahaye 175 formed the basis .
A six-cylinder engine powered the vehicle. It had 94 mm bore and 107 mm stroke . This resulted in a displacement of 4455 cm³ and a classification of 26 Cheval fiscal . One source gives 115 hp engine power. Another source mentions 140 hp for the version with one carburetor and 160 hp for the version with three carburettors. The four-speed gearbox came from Cotal.
The chassis had mm, according to a source front 1450 and rear 1525 mm gauge . Another source gives 1540 mm. The wheelbase was 3335 mm. The vehicles were 5250 mm long, 1780 mm wide and 1600 mm high. The curb weight was given as 2000 kg. A large sedan was presented at the Paris Motor Show in 1946 . Front and rear doors were hinged on the B-pillar . There is also a drawing as a brougham with six to seven seats.
The planning in advance provided that the first two chassis would be assembled by hand and would be named Delage. It is unclear whether two vehicles were actually built. Neither a type test by the national approval authority nor a marketing are known.
