Dmitri Anatolyevich Bogdanov
Dmitri Anatoljewitsch Bogdanow ( Russian Дмитрий Анатольевич Богданов , English transcription Dmitriy Bogdanov ; born April 11, 1979 in Leningrad ) is a Russian middle -distance runner who specializes in the 800-meter distance .
At the Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000, he was eliminated in advance. As part of the Russian team in the 4 x 400 meter relay , he reached the semi-finals.
In 2002 he was fourth at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Vienna . At the European Athletics Championships in Munich in 2002 he failed in the first round as well as at the 2003 World Athletics Championships in Paris / Saint-Denis and the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens.
In 2005 he won gold at the European Indoor Championships in Madrid . At the World Championships in Helsinki in 2005 and in Osaka in 2007 he reached the semifinals, and at the Olympic Games in 2008 he did not get beyond the run-up again.
So far he has been Russian outdoor champion five times (2000, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006) and three times indoor (2002, 2005, 2008).
