EHF European Women's Cup Winners' Cup 2001/02

At the EHF European Cup Winners' Cup in 2001/02 took 29 Handball -Vereinsmannschaften part from 29 countries. They qualified in the previous season in their home countries in the cup competition for the European Cup . At the 26th edition of the cup winners' competition, GK Lada Tolyatti was the second time a team from Russia won the cup.

3rd round

Since the European handball federation standardized the round names of all club competitions and the starting field in the cup winners' cup was relatively small, this only began with the games of the third round . The first legs of the 3rd round took place between the 11. – 19. January and the second leg between 13-20. January 2002.
