El Bodón is a western Spanish municipality ( municipio ) in the province of Salamanca in the autonomous community of Castile and Leon . Like many municipalities in the region, it has experienced a sharp decline in population since the second half of the 20th century. After 1,340 inhabitants lived in it in 1950, it still had 270 inhabitants in 2019.
