Aldeaseca de la Frontera is a municipality ( municipio ) in western Spain in the province of Salamanca in the autonomous community of Castile and León . The community was founded in the Middle Ages as part of the Repoblación by the kings of León , where the community belonged to Villoria and came under the jurisdiction of Salamanca and the Kingdom of León. The municipality received the suffix de La Frontera because it was at the time of the León and Castile on the border of the territory of the Kingdom of León. After the creation of provinces in 1833, the municipality belonged to Provincia de Salamanca in the Región Leonesa , which was formed by adding part of Peñaranda de Bracamonte . Like many municipalities in the region, it has seen its population decline since the second half of the 20th century . After 679 inhabitants lived in it in 1950, it had 261 inhabitants in 2019.
