Valdelageve is a small western Spanish municipality ( municipio ) in the province of Salamanca in the autonomous community of Castile and Leon . It is located about 19 kilometers west of the city of Béjar and had 76 inhabitants in 2019.
geography
The area of the municipality is 16.35 km². Outside the village, the community area is practically undeveloped and consists of orchards, unused forest areas and scrub.
Population development
Like most other municipalities in the region, Valdelageve experienced a sharp decline in population in the second half of the 20th century, which continues to this day. In 2019 only 76 of the former 282 inhabitants were left in 1940.
