La Alameda de Gardón is a small northern Spanish municipality ( municipio ) in the province of Salamanca in the autonomous community of Castile and Leon . Like many municipalities in the region, it has experienced a sharp decline in population since the second half of the 20th century. After 787 inhabitants lived in it in 1950, it had only 70 inhabitants in 2019. The parish covers an area of 32.27 square kilometers and is at an altitude of 714 meters.
