Faroese Football Cup 1973

The 1973 Faroese Football Cup took place between May 20 and September 23, 1973 and was played for the 19th time. In the final, which was played on artificial turf in the Gundadalur Stadium in Tórshavn , defending champion HB Tórshavn won 3-1 against KÍ Klaksvík and was thus able to win the cup for the fifth time in a row and for the eleventh time overall.

HB Tórshavn and KÍ Klaksvík finished first and second in the championship , thus HB Tórshavn achieved the double .

All first division clubs were allowed to play in the cup. These initially played out three participants in one round, one of which was directly qualified for the final. The other two teams determined the second finalist. All rounds were played in the knockout system .
