Faroese Football Cup 1982

The Faroese Football Cup 1982 took place between April 26th and August 29th 1982 and was played for the 28th time. In the final, which was played on artificial turf in Gundadalur Stadium in Tórshavn , defending champion HB Tórshavn won 2-1 against ÍF Fuglafjørður and was able to win the cup for the fifth time in a row and for the 18th time overall.

HB Tórshavn and ÍF Fuglafjørður finished first and eighth in the championship , thus HB Tórshavn achieved the double . With HB Tórshavn III a fourth division reached the semi-finals.

All teams in the first four leagues were eligible for the cup, including the B, C and D representatives. First of all, the 23 fourth division teams determined the eight participants for the second round in three rounds, in which the eight third division teams were added. One round later, the eight second division teams intervened in the competition, and in the fourth round the field was completed by the eight first division teams. All rounds were played in the knockout system .
