Faroese Football Cup 2009

The Faroese Football Cup 2009 , also known as Løgmanssteypið 2009 , took place between March 28 and July 29, 2009 and was played for the 55th time. In the final, which was played on artificial turf in the Gundadalur Stadium in Tórshavn , Víkingur Gøta won 3-2 against defending champions EB / Streymur and was thus able to win the cup for the first time. Víkingur Gøta also took part in the 2nd qualifying round for the 2010/11 UEFA Europa League .

Víkingur Gøta and EB / Streymur finished third and second in the championship . With FC Hoyvík and TB Tvøroyri , two second division teams reached the quarter-finals.

All 19 senior teams from the four Faroese leagues except Ravnur FC, who had not entered the competition, were eligible to participate . The following teams took part:
