Faroese Football Cup 1971

The 1971 Faroese Football Cup took place between June 13 and September 12, 1971 and was played for the 17th time. In the final, which was played on artificial turf in Gundadalur Stadium in Tórshavn , defending champion HB Tórshavn won 9-0 against TB Tvøroyri and was able to win the cup for the third time in a row and for the ninth time overall. The 9: 0 represents the highest final victory in the history of the Faroese Football Cup.

HB Tórshavn and KÍ Klaksvík finished first and fourth in the championship , thus HB Tórshavn achieved the double .

All first division clubs were allowed to play in the cup. Two teams were set for the semifinals. The remaining teams played the remaining two participants in a round. All rounds were played in the knockout system .
