The law on the amalgamation of the city of Blankenstein and the municipalities of Buchholz, Holthausen and Welper, Ennepe-Ruhr-Kreis was promulgated on February 10, 1966 and restructured four municipalities of the Ennepe-Ruhr-Kreis in North Rhine-Westphalia . The law came into force on April 1, 1966.

§ 1 Merger of the city of Blankenstein with the municipalities of Buchholz , Holthausen and Welper to form a new city of Blankenstein ; Confirmation of the territorial change agreement of June 9, 1965 concluded between these municipalities
§ 2 Allocation of the enlarged town of Blankenstein to the district court of Hattingen
§ 3 Dissolution of the official representation of the office Blankenstein
§ 4 Comes into force on April 1, 1966

Follow-up time

On January 1, 1970, the town of Blankenstein was dissolved again and, with the exception of the Buchholz district, which came to the town of Herbede , was incorporated into the town of Hattingen . Herbede with Buchholz, in turn, was incorporated into the city of Witten on January 1, 1975 .
