The 18th Giro d'Italia took place from May 15 to June 8, 1930.

The bike race consisted of 15 stages with a total length of 3,907 kilometers, the start took place in Messina . 99 of 115 participants reached the finish. Luigi Marchisio won the Giro with just 55 seconds ahead of Luigi Giacobbe . Alfredo Binda had not started the Giro at the insistence of the organizers, as they feared that a renewed victory would reduce the audience's interest. For his waiver, he was paid the full prize for the race.

The team championship was won by the Bianchi team .
