Hanno von Dassel
Hanno Werner Traugott von Dassel (born August 8, 1850 in Stolp , † January 1, 1918 in Aumühle ) was a Prussian officer , most recently a lieutenant general .
Life
origin
Hanno came from the von Dassel patrician family . He was the son of Gustav Adolph von Dassel (born February 24, 1816 in Neu-Belz, † April 17, 1894 in Berlin ), most recently Colonel a. D. and Landstallmeister at the Royal Prussian Principal Stud Trakehnen and his wife Elise, from the Pomeranian noble family Bandemer (born October 1, 1824 in Weitenhagen ; † January 2, 1901 in Bernburg ). His younger brother Johannes also took up the military career and made it to general of the infantry .
Military career
After visiting the cadet house in Potsdam and the main military academy in Berlin Dassel was with the character of a Portepee - ensign , the patent he received only on 10 November, in the 1st Company of the 2nd Hanseatische Infantry Regiment 76th to Hamburg , where he was promoted to second lieutenant on October 10, 1869 . Entrusted with its leadership, Dassel returned to his regiment on May 18, 1901 à la suite of the 76ers. Promoted to colonel , he became its regimental commander on July 7, the anniversary of the Tilsit Peace Treaty . In the Berlin armory on August 28, 1904, in the presence of the regimental commanders, the new flags of the regiments of the IX. During the imperial maneuver , on the morning of September 5th, the day of the Altona imperial parade, the new flags were handed over by the Corps flag company. So the regiments were able to lead this for the first time in the subsequent parade. The generals , regimental and independent battalion commanders were then ordered to criticize the emperor. In the evening, the parade table took place in the ballroom of the Kaiserhof . As the highlight of this event, at which the mayors of the three Hanseatic cities represented in the corps were also represented, the emperor announced that the regiments in their cities would henceforth be called Regiment Bremen , Regiment Hamburg and Regiment Lübeck .
With the promotion to major general Dassel was appointed commander of the 70th Infantry Brigade in Thorn on April 22, 1905 . To March 22, 1907 (the 110th anniversary of Kaiser Wilhelm I ), he was charged with board for disposition made and initially settled in Hamburg.
Around 1910, the von Dassel couple had a villa built for themselves in Aumühle, on the corner of Bismarckallee and Hoffriedeallee. His wife got involved in charities and in 1911 founded a local group of the Fatherland Women's Association , the origin of today's Red Cross in Aumühle. The character of Lieutenant General was conferred by Dassel on June 16, 1913. In 1914 the couple had a mausoleum built at the Aumühler Waldfriedhof for 12,000 marks based on a design by the Hamburg architect Emil Neupert , in which the lieutenant general was buried in 1918 with a large ceremony .
The last descendant of the family Dassel transferred in 1970 the mausoleum to the Aumühler parish , he and his wife were buried the 1990s next to the mausoleum.

Dassel married Anna Freiin von Ohlendorff on March 12, 1879 in Hamburg (* May 24, 1861 in Hamburg; † June 17, 1955 in Aumühle), a daughter of Albertus Freiherr von Ohlendorff . The marriage remained childless.
