ISO 3166-2: MD

The list of ISO-3166-2 codes for the Republic of Moldova includes the codes for the autonomous region of Gagauzia , the region of Transnistria , the 32 Rajons and three cities.

The codes consist of two parts separated by a hyphen. The first part gives the country code according to ISO 3166-1 (for the Republic of Moldova MD), the second the code for the region, city or Rajon.

The current country code was last updated in Newsletter II-2 of June 30, 2010 ( PDF ).
