Italian envoy to the German Confederation

Sardinian (until 1862) and Italian ambassadors at the Bundestag of the German Confederation in Frankfurt am Main . The Kingdom of Sardinia was the only Italian states before 1861 sent, the Minister Plenipotentiary to the Bundestag.

Italian ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany

Vitale Giovanni Gallina (born December 15, 1903 in Salzburg - January 17, 1950 in Fort de Montessuy Caluire-et-Cuire ) headed the Italian Consulate General in Frankfurt am Main in 1947.

From 1950 to 2003 the office of the Italian embassy was located at Karl-Finkelnburg-Straße 49–53 , Bonn-Bad Godesberg ; the ambassador's residence was at Rolandstrasse 43 . The Italian Embassy has been back in Berlin since 2003 .

From the Italian states before 1861, the Kingdom of Sardinia sent authorized ministers to the Prussian court in Berlin since 1774 (see → List of Sardinian ambassadors in Prussia ). From 1867 and 1869, the Italian envoys in Berlin were also accredited in the following states: in the Kingdom of Saxony , in the Grand Duchy of Mecklenburg-Schwerin , in the Grand Duchy of Oldenburg , in the Duchy of Braunschweig , Duchy of Saxony-Coburg and Gotha , in the Duchy of Saxony-Meiningen and in the Duchy Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach
