Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann (* 12. January 1981 in Hamburg as Janne Friederike Meyer ) is a German show jumper .
Career
Janne Friederike Meyer has been riding since early childhood. At the age of six she got her first own pony, the mare Mücke . At the age of 12 she rode her first German championship and in the following years won several medals and titles at state championships in the pony / junior area. She trained her first horse, the gray Callistro , herself. The gelding comes from his parents' horse breed.
With trainer Tjark Nagel she was able to celebrate a number of mutual successes: Janne Friederike Meyer is multiple German champion, team European champion and team world champion. She was voted Sportswoman of the Year in Schleswig-Holstein twice and won a number of international grand prizes. At the Riders Tour 2008 she finished second overall.
For the World Equestrian Games 2010 she was initially nominated as a substitute rider, due to an injury to Cash ( Marco Kutscher's horse ) she took part in the World Equestrian Games as an active rider. Philipp Weishaupt moved up to the position of substitute rider. With the team, she won the team gold medal, and she was also qualified for the evaluation test of the top 30 in the individual ranking.
In July and August 2010 she was 50th in the world rankings, making her one of the 50 most successful international show jumpers for the first time.
She achieved her greatest individual success to date by winning the 2011 Aachen Grand Prix on Cellagon Lambrasco . The day before, she had already won the “Best of Champions” with Holiday by Solitour , a jumping competition for the five best placed women and men in the world rankings. At the European Championships in Madrid (September 2011), the amazon won team gold with Cellagon Lambrasco.
At the 2012 Olympic Games , she was part of the German Olympic team for the first time with Cellagon Lambrasco . Here, however, she had to record a number of penalty points and after her elimination from the individual classification announced that this was the last international championship of Cellagon Lambrasco . The national coach Otto Becker criticized the fact that she had already made this decision before the second round of the team competition : “That’s what it looked like ... She didn’t think the thought through to the end. She could have started from scratch in the final. It went away with her. ”As a result, Meyer was only included in the B-squad of the German show jumping riders from the date of the roster in January 2013.
In 2013 they again finished fourth in the Global Champions Tour at the Hamburg Derby. In 2014, Meyer said goodbye to her long-standing successful horse Cellagon Lambrasco (nickname "Pug") on the occasion of the Global Champions Tour in Hamburg. “Pug is not just a horse - he is a wonder horse for me! He is the best example of how you can surpass yourself and create things that nobody would have thought you could do, ”she describes the gelding.
With the gelding Goja , Meyer worked his way up to top-class sport again and was part of German Nations Cup teams several times with him from 2015. At the Nations Cup final in Barcelona she was initially a substitute rider, then moved to the team due to the failure of Daniel Deusser's horse and with her faultless ride with Goja she was part of Germany's Nations Cup victory.
After Janne Friederike Meyer had stabled her horses in a stable in Schenefeld near Hamburg for almost ten years , she and her partner bought a riding facility in Pinneberg - Waldenau . Their horses moved into the facility , which is only a few meters away from Hamburg's Klövensteen , in May 2016. In mid-January 2017, Meyer married the horse dealer Christoph Zimmermann.
Meyer took a twelve-month correspondence course in equestrian managers .
