Klitsche (Thümermark)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Klitsche was a Vorwerk on the current site of the Altengrabow military training area .

geography

The desert is about three kilometers east of Lübars on the former road to Hohenlobbese . The place belongs to the western Fläming plateau , a heather or grassland rich forest landscape of the north German lowlands.

history

In 1459 the place was still mentioned as a church village, after that it must have been abandoned and only later rebuilt.

In 1782, 24 residents lived in the village, which was also called Klitzke in places at that time , at a total of five fireplaces, and these were parish off to Groß Lübars . The then noble Vorwerk belonged to a Herr von Wulfen from Groß Lübars; a neighboring village, also in his possession. In total, Klitsche had 1286 acres of arable land and 300 acres of heathland, as well as six acres of garden land and five acres of pine and birch forest. The Vorwerk also had a sheep farm. Due to the lack of meadows, it was supplied with hay from Wüstenjerichow at that time .

In 1847 Klitsche was listed in the "Topographical-Statistical Handbook of the Prussian State". As a Vorwerk with 5 houses and 24 souls and belonging to Groß Lübars, it was part of the Jerichow I district in the Magdeburg administrative district of the province of Saxony.

After the autumn exercise of the guard corps in the vicinity in 1891 and further appraisals and preparations for the acquisition of the place, the same fate emerged for Klitsche as for the village of Gloine and the Thümermark estate . The Vorwerk belonged to the latter estate at that time. Because of the layout and construction of the military training area from 1893, the residents had to leave the place in the early years of the new shooting range.
