Lütnitz is a district of Möckern in the Jerichower Land district in Saxony-Anhalt .

geography

The village is located three kilometers southwest of Möckern in a completely open agricultural landscape . One kilometer north of here, the Ehle , a tributary of the Elbe , flows past from east to west. This stretch of water belongs to the FFH area Ehle between Möckern and Elbe and is under protection because it is a valuable watercourse that is still z. T. has a natural meandering course and has rare fish species.

In terms of natural space , the place belongs to the Zerbster Land , an arable, open cultural landscape and 536 km² main unit of the superordinate main unit group of the Fläming in the north German lowlands . The Zerbster Land forms the southwestern roof of the Fläming to the Elbe and belongs to the catchment area of this river.

history

In 1785 the place Lütenitz was designated and described as a Vorwerk in the first district of the Jerichowschen Kreis . A total of 19 residents are said to have lived here in 1782 and ten births and five deaths were recorded in the previous ten years. It is said to have included three fire pits, 360 acres of fields, 82 acres of meadow and one acre of garden land. At that time the Vorwerk was parish off to Möckern and belonged to the barons of Hagen .

After the end of the Second World War, the Count von Hagen was expropriated by the land reform ordered by the Soviet occupying power.

It is not known since when the village has been part of the city of Möckern.
