Göbel is a district of Möckern in the Jerichower Land district in Saxony-Anhalt .

geography

Göbel is a small village on the national road 56 between Loburg and Leitzkau . The neighboring villages are Hohenlochau , Leitzkau, Hobeck , Ladeburg , Kalitz and Klepps .

The place is on a ridge, a western foothill of the Fläming , between the valleys of the rivers Ehle in the north and Nuthe in the south. The immediate vicinity is determined by agricultural areas.

In terms of natural space , the place belongs to the Zerbster Land , an arable, open cultural landscape and 536 km² main unit of the superordinate main unit group of the Fläming in the north German lowlands . The Zerbster Land forms the southwestern roof of the Fläming to the Elbe and belongs to the catchment area of ​​this river.

history

In the course of a community reform on September 30, 1928, the manor districts Hobeck, Göbel and Klepps were united with the rural community Hobeck. Göbel thus belonged to Hobeck as a district before it came to Möckern on January 1, 2009.

Attractions

The towerless village church Göbel , made of field stones, dates from 1730 .

The bus route 715 Gommern - Leitzkau - Dalchau - Loburg - Möckern (- Burg bei Magdeburg - Magdeburg) and back runs through the town. The next train station is in Loburg , but since December 2011 the only train line RB 35 to Magdeburg via Zeppernick - Möckern - Zeddenick - Ziepel - Büden - Biederitz - Magdeburg-Neustadt no longer runs, so the closest train station is Gommern. This is on the Magdeburg-Neustadt - Roßlau railway line.

The closest motorway connection is the AS Burg-Ost of the A 2 .
