history

The first written mention of the place, at that time under the name Ragosen , comes from the year 1375. As early as 1400 and 1446 there is evidence that the village of Rogosen was in the possession of the Magdeburg noble family called Byern .

Desert rye, as the place was called before the 20th century, had belonged to the Thümen noble family since 1666 and was part of the property of the respective owners of Klein Lübars . In 1693 a new owner of this very has here Vorwerk built, which is also to Klein Lübars the parish and started school was.

In 1842 the Vorwerk had a jug and five houses in which 42 people lived. At this time, the foundations of a demolished small church can still be found in the village. On December 8, 1849, the new cemetery was inaugurated on desert rye.

On December 1, 1910, there were 27 inhabitants in the Waldrogäsen manor district. In the district of Jerichow I in the province of Saxony , the two manor districts Waldrogäsen and Wüstenjerichow were merged to form the rural community of Rogäsen-Jerichow . The community Rogäsen-Jerichow was renamed Wüstenjerichow in 1964 . On January 1, 2010 Waldrogäsen was incorporated into Möckern.
