Schweinitzer Hütten is a settlement in the village of Schweinitz von Möckern in the Jerichower Land district in Saxony-Anhalt .

geography

The settlement is located about one kilometer east of the center of the village and, like this one, is on the western Fläming plateau , a heather or grassland forest landscape in the north German lowlands. The Ehle rises just a few hundred meters to the south-east and flows from there along the southern edge of the town towards the west, past it. The Altengrabow military training area limits the area to the north and east . Across the Ehle are the eastern parts of the FFH area Schweinitz near Loburg .

history

In 1796 the place consisted of a royal wooden runner house, a tar stove and various houses for day laborers.

In 1847 Schweinitzer Hütten was listed in the "Topographical-Statistical Handbook of the Prussian State". The place included a tar furnace, two foresters , 20 houses and 145 souls.

Until the incorporation of the community of Schweinitz into the unified community of the city of Möckern on January 1, 2009, Schweinitzer Hütten was a district.
