Krumbach is a market town with 2272 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020) in the south of Lower Austria in the Bucklige Welt .
Community structure
Krumbach is the only village that is made up of numerous districts. Districts are Ausserlehen, Buchegg, Egg, Feichten, Haselgraben, Hochhalt, Hosien, Königsegg, Kraxenberg, Löder, Möltern, Ödhöfen, Ponholz, Prägart, Ransgraben, Saubichl, Tiefenbach, Unterhaus, Weißes Kreuz, Zöberau, Zöbersdorf as well as numerous individual layers.

The coat of arms of the Lords of Krumbach , which appears in a seal from 1291, served as a template . This seal coat of arms has been used as the market coat of arms since January 19, 1957.

- Othmar Zaoralek (July 7, 1870 to April 29, 1964), elementary school teacher, local researcher, painter, holder of the ring of honor of the Krumbach market town.
- Friedrich Gamauf (1921–2005), entrepreneur, honorary citizen and honorary ring bearer, Golden Badge of Honor of Lower Austria and papal order " Bene Merenti "
- Franz Grabenwöger (born February 4, 1940 in Furth), long-time secretary of Cardinal König and pastor of Krumbach from September 1992 to August 2009. Then continued as a pastor in Krumbach. In 1984 he was given the papal honorary title " Monsignor ". Pastor Grabenwöger has been a member of the Catholic student association KAV Danubia Vienna-Korneuburg in the ÖCV since his time in the seminary in Vienna . He was awarded honorary citizenship on the occasion of his golden jubilee as a priest on June 23, 2013.
