This list of the members of the Upper Austrian Landtag (XVII. Legislative period) lists all members of the Upper Austrian Landtag in the XVII. Legislative period. The legislative period lasted from November 5, 1949 to November 18, 1955, the deputies were sworn in on November 5, 1949. After the state elections in 1949 , 23 of the 48 seats went to the ÖVP , 15 to the SPÖ and 10 to the electoral party of the Independents (WdU). The ÖVP, in particular, suffered heavy losses when the WdU took up its position for the first time. After the inauguration, the state parliament elected the state government Gleißner V , which held office for the entire legislative period.
Peter Mandorf (ÖVP) took over the office of First President of the State Parliament at the beginning of the legislative period. After his death on July 30, 1953, Matthias Hödlmoser was elected as his successor. The office of Second President of the State Parliament was awarded to the SPÖ due to the strength of its mandate. First, Fridolin Schröpfer took on the function, on December 18, 1953 he was replaced by Fritz Harringer . Alois Bachinger (WdU) was elected third state parliament president on November 17, 1954.
