Italian Allstars 4 Life is a supergroup made up of numerous well-known Italian musicians who released the benefit song Ma il cielo è semper più blu (Italian Stars 4 Life) in 2020 as part of the COVID-19 pandemic .

history

On the occasion of the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic in Italy 2020, 55 Italian musicians came together to record a cover version of the song Ma il cielo è semper più blu by Rino Gaetano . The original version of the song was published in 1975 and made the Cantautore Gaetano known to a wider audience for the first time. Since then, there have been various cover versions, including Giusy Ferreri from 2009, which reached number two in the Italian charts .

Due to the quarantine regulations , those involved in the project did not come together to record, but instead each performer recorded their lines of songs in their respective private surroundings. With these excerpts, all those involved can also be seen in the accompanying music video . The charitable initiative was conceived by the music journalist Franco Zanetti on Rockol.it, from the producers Takagi & Ketra and Dardust implemented and from Amazon along with key industry associations of the Italian music industry Associazione Fonografici italiani (AFI), Federazione Industria Musicale Italiana (FIMI) and Produttori Musicali Indipendenti (PMI) funded. All proceeds will be donated to the Italian Red Cross to support Il tempo della gentilezza , a project in support of those hardest hit by the pandemic.

Ma il cielo è semper più blu (Italian Stars 4 Life) was released on May 7, 2020 as a preview on Amazon.com and the next day as a download on all music platforms. It reached number five on the Italian charts.
