Mathias Kusche

Mathias Kusche (* 1967 in Berlin ) is a German theater and television actor and radio play speaker .

Life

Kusche completed his acting training at the German Acting and Media Academy in Berlin and graduated as a qualified media actor. In role studies, singing and dance, he then continued his education at various positions and institutions.

His professional career began in 1991, where he appeared in the "Comedy of Vanity" ( Elias Canetti ) in the Theater am Halleschen Ufer . In the theater subject he gained national fame on many stages and in a wide variety of, especially classical roles. Since then he has had engagements on various stages throughout Germany, such as at the Franconian Theater Schloss Maßbach , the Landestheater Hannover and the Berlin Chamber Opera . He had long-term permanent engagements at the Landesbühne Anklam (1993–1995), at the Nordharzer Städtebundtheater (2006–2009) and at the Theater der Altmark (2009–2013).

He played leading roles a. a. in Hauptmann von Köpenick , “Newton” in Die Physiker , and “ Mephisto ” in Faust . At the Berlin Criminal Theater , Kusche played the role of "Inspector Hearne" in the crime classic Die Mausefalle (role: "Mr. Paravicini") and in the prosecution witness (both plays by Agatha Christie ).

In film and television, he mostly embodied guest and supporting roles in series such as Gute Zeiten, Bad Zeiten , KDD - Criminal Continuous Service , Luxury Factor ( ZDF ) and Death Penalty ( RTL ). He also worked in various short films.

In the field of media culture, he developed the “pie” concept (performer in exhibition) as a museum guide in the role of a performer from the respective era in order to convey a connection to people and events in contemporary history. According to this concept, the respective groups of visitors can be addressed individually in order to make their visit to the cultural institution interesting.

From 2015 to 2016 he was engaged in the musical Rocky as "Gazzo" and as the cover for the role "Mickey" at the Palladium Theater Stuttgart . Since August 31, 2015, he has embodied the testimonial “Kabel Heinz” on the private television station Kabel eins .

Since the 2019/20 season he has been part of the permanent ensemble of the Uckermärkische Bühnen Schwedt .

Awards

Kusche was awarded the “Theater Prize Quedlinburg Halberstadt” for the production Endstation Sehnsucht in 2008 and the “Stendaler Theater Prize” in 2013.
