The Mexico City E-Prix 2019 (officially: 2019 CBMM Niobium Mexico City E-Prix ) took place on February 16 at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City and was the fourth race of the 2018 FIA Formula E Championship / 19 . It is the fourth Mexico City E-Prix.

After the Santiago E-Prix , Sam Bird led the drivers' standings with two points ahead of Jérôme D'Ambrosio and with 15 points ahead of António Félix da Costa . In the team standings, Envision Virgin Racing was twelve points ahead of Mahindra Racing and 24 points ahead of DS Techeetah .
Felipe Nasr made his debut at the Mexico City E-Prix for Dragon Racing in the FIA Formula E Championship, replacing Maximilian Günther .
With Daniel Abt , D'Ambrosio and Lucas di Grassi , three former winners competed in this race.
Abt, Sébastien Buemi , Félix da Costa, di Grassi and Stoffel Vandoorne received a so-called fan boost in the race ; after the 23rd minute of the race, they were allowed to increase the power of their vehicle to 240 kW to 250 kW and thus up to 100 kilojoules of additional energy use. Buemi received his 30th Fan Boost in the FIA Formula E Championship, di Grassi his 27th and Abt his 21st. Felix da Costa and Vandoorne each received the additional energy for the fourth time, each time this season.

In the first free practice, Abt set the fastest time in 59.319 seconds ahead of Edoardo Mortara and Alexander Sims .
Félix da Costa was fastest in the second free practice with a lap time of 58.963 seconds ahead of Felipe Massa and Sébastien Buemi .
Qualifying
Qualifying began at 11:45 a.m. and took place in four groups of five or six drivers each, each group had six minutes in which the drivers could do a maximum of one timed lap with an output of 200 kW and then a maximum of one timed lap with an output of 250 kW were allowed to drive. Bird rolled out with a technical defect and did not achieve a lap time, so he did not qualify for the race. Oliver Rowland was fastest with a lap time of 59.593 seconds.
The six fastest drivers then drove in the first six positions in the individual time trial called Superpole . Pascal Wehrlein secured pole position with a lap time of 59.347 seconds and thus three points. The other positions were occupied by di Grassi, Massa, Rowland, Félix da Costa and Buemi.

The race lasted 45 minutes plus one lap. Each driver had to activate the attack mode twice; after activation, the vehicle produced a maximum of 225 kW instead of 200 kW for a period of four minutes.
Di Grassi won the race ahead of Félix da Costa and Mortara. The remaining points were placed by D'Ambrosio, André Lotterer , Wehrlein, Mitch Evans , Massa, Bird and Abt. The point for the fastest lap in the top ten went to Wehrlein.
