NGC 6467 is a 13.3 mag bright spiral galaxy of the Hubble type S? in the constellation Dragon in the northern sky . It is an estimated 143 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 105,000 light years across .
She is considered a member of the six galaxies counting NGC 6500 group ( LGG 414 ).
The object was discovered by Albert Marth on June 2, 1864 . NGC 6467 and NGC 6468 were discovered by Marth on the same night and described almost identically with only a small difference in position. Individual modern catalogs therefore suspect an observation of IC 1268 (20 ′ further south) for NGC 6468 , but in the majority both NCG numbers are equated.
